Brief description:

The project supported the provinces of Gai Lai, Dak Nong and Dak Lak of the Central Highlands of the Central Region of Vietnam in the development of their decentralized annual and medium term planning and budgeting processes. Emphasis was placed on the incorporation of the governments approach to economic growth and poverty reduction (CPRGS).  Work included on-the-job support to the preparation of annual plans and also the 2006-2010 medium term plan.  Work also included drafting guidelines on the multi-year incremental strengthening of provincial planning processes and systems for MPI to provide advice to provinces nationally.  CPL was responsible for all aspects of this project.
